Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms of Use Agreement
By creating a SnapTaxHK account through a mobile device, mobile application, or computer (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by (i) these Terms of Use, (ii) our Privacy Policy, Safety Tips, and Community Guidelines (incorporated by reference into this “Agreement”), and (iii) any terms disclosed and agreed to by you if you purchase additional features, products, or services we offer on the “Service” (collectively, this “Agreement”). If you do not accept and agree to be bound by all of the terms of this “Agreement,” please do not use the “Service.”
We may make changes to this “Agreement” or the “Service” from time to time. These changes may be made for various reasons, including to reflect changes in laws, new features, or business practices. The latest version of this “Agreement” will be posted on our website, and you should regularly check for the latest version. The latest version is the applicable version. If these changes include significant changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance through the “Service” or by email (unless applicable law prohibits us from doing so). If you continue to use the “Service” after the changes take effect, you agree to the revised “Agreement.”
1.1 Use of SnapTaxHK Accounting Services
As SnapTaxHK relies on user-inputted financial data, users are responsible for verifying the following: 1. The accuracy of the data entered by the user, and 2. The figures automatically calculated by SnapTaxHK. Before completing tax forms or proceeding with any further numerical processing, users should confirm that all figures are correct. We bear no responsibility for any errors in the use of inaccurate figures or any subsequent misuse.
Please ensure that your data is accurate and double-check all information before submission. If you identify any errors, please correct them immediately. Kindly note that you are fully responsible for all information submitted and its subsequent processing. The system performs calculations and processing based on the information you provide, and we are not liable for any issues arising from system calculation errors or inaccurate or incomplete data. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
We also offer professional accountant review services. If you require this service, please feel free to contact us. Our team of professional accountants will thoroughly review your data to ensure its accuracy. If you have any questions about our services or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality service and ensure a smooth and error-free tax processing experience.
2. Eligibility
You must meet all of the following conditions to create an account or access/use the Service or its associated systems:
-
You must be at least 18 years old.
-
You can form a binding contract with SnapTaxHK.
-
You will comply with this “Agreement” and all applicable local and international laws, rules, and regulations.
3. Your Account
To use SnapTaxHK, you can log in with your phone number, which authorizes us to access and use its information, including but not limited to your phone number and public personal information. For more information about the information we collect from you and how we use it, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the login credentials you use to register with SnapTaxHK and are fully responsible for all activities conducted through these credentials. If you believe someone has accessed your account, please contact us immediately.
4. Modifications to the “Service” and Termination
SnapTaxHK is committed to improving the quality of the “Service” and providing you with more attractive and practical features. This means we may add, improve, and remove certain product features from time to time, and if these actions do not significantly affect your rights or obligations, we may not notify you before taking action. We may even suspend the “Service” entirely, in which case we will notify you in advance unless we are unable to do so for security or safety reasons.
The simplest way to terminate your account is to follow the instructions on the SnapTaxHK “Remove Account” page. Of course, you can retain other termination options. However, if you use a third-party payment account such as Apple’s App Store or iTunes Store (“App Store,” if applicable) or Google Play Store, you must manage in-app purchases through that account to avoid continued charges. If SnapTaxHK believes you have violated this “Agreement,” it may terminate your account at any time without notice. If your account is terminated, the company will not refund any amounts for purchased content.
After your account is terminated, this “Agreement” will also terminate, but you and SnapTaxHK must still comply with the following terms: Sections 4, 5, and 12 to 19.
5. Safety
Although SnapTaxHK strives to provide a respectful member experience through various features, SnapTaxHK is not responsible for any member’s behavior on or off the “Service.” You agree to exercise caution when interacting with other members, especially when you decide to communicate or meet in person outside the “Service.” Additionally, you agree to review and comply with SnapTaxHK’s safety tips before using the “Service.” You agree not to provide personal financial information (such as your credit card or bank account information) or send money to other members via wire transfer or other means.
Your interactions with other members are entirely your responsibility. You understand that SnapTaxHK does not conduct criminal background checks on its members or inquire about members’ backgrounds. SnapTaxHK does not make any representations or warranties regarding members’ behavior or suitability.
6. Rights Granted to You by SnapTaxHK
SnapTaxHK grants you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable, and non-sublicensable license to access and use the “Service.” This license is for the sole purpose of allowing you to use and enjoy the benefits of the “Service” as intended by SnapTaxHK and permitted by this Agreement. 7. Rights You Grant to SnapTaxHK
By creating an account, you grant SnapTaxHK a worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free right and license to host, store, use, copy, display, reproduce, adapt, edit, publish, modify the information you provide, and any information you post, upload, display, or otherwise make available (collectively, “post”) or transmit to other members (collectively, “content”) on the “Service.” SnapTaxHK does not have exclusive rights to your “content,” except for derivative works created through the use of the “Service,” for which SnapTaxHK has exclusive rights. For example, SnapTaxHK has exclusive rights to screenshots of the “Service” containing your “content.” Our rights to your “content” are limited to the rights granted to you by applicable law (such as the regulations on any personal data defined by the Personal Data Protection Act), and are limited to operating, developing, providing, and improving the “Service” and developing new service items. You agree that any “content” you post or authorize us to post on the “Service” is open to other members and anyone visiting or joining the “Service.”
You agree that all information you submit when creating an account is accurate and truthful, and you have the right to post “content” on the “Service” and grant the above license to SnapTaxHK.
You understand and agree that we may monitor or review any “content” you post as part of the “Service.” We may remove any “content,” in whole or in part, that we believe violates this “Agreement” or may harm the reputation of the “Service.”
You agree to be respectful and courteous when communicating with our customer service representatives. If we believe your behavior towards our customer service representatives or other employees is threatening, harassing, or abusive at any time, we reserve the right to immediately terminate your account.
In consideration of SnapTaxHK allowing you to use the “Service,” you agree that we, our affiliates, and our third-party partners may place advertisements on the “Service.” By submitting suggestions or feedback regarding our “Service” to SnapTaxHK, you agree that SnapTaxHK may use and share such feedback for any purpose without compensating you.
Please note that SnapTaxHK may access, preserve, or disclose your account information and “content” if required by law, to enforce this “Agreement,” to respond to claims that any “content” violates the rights of third parties, to respond to your customer service requests, or to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the company or any other person.
8. Community Guidelines
By using the “Service,” you agree not to:
-
Use the “Service” for any illegal or prohibited purpose.
-
Use the “Service” with the intent to harm or maliciously.
-
Use the “Service” with the intent to damage SnapTaxHK.
-
Violate our community guidelines, which are updated from time to time.
-
Send spam, solicit money from other members, or engage in fraud.
-
Impersonate any person or entity without permission or post images of others without their consent.
-
Bully, stalk, intimidate, harass, abuse, or defame any person.
-
Post any content that violates or infringes anyone’s rights, including rights of publicity, privacy, copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property or contract rights.
-
Post any content that is hate speech, threatening, sexually explicit, or pornographic.
-
Post any content that incites violence or contains nudity, graphic, or gratuitous violence.
-
Post any content that promotes racism, bigotry, hatred, or physical harm against any group or individual.

Use another member’s account, share an account with another member, or maintain more than one account.
-
Create another account if we have already terminated your account unless you have our permission.
If you violate this “Agreement,” misuse the “Service,” or engage in behavior SnapTaxHK deems inappropriate or illegal (including actions or communications that occur on or off the “Service”), SnapTaxHK reserves the right to investigate and/or terminate your account without any refund for any purchases. Additionally, in certain circumstances, if you violate any applicable entity’s terms, we may terminate your account; if you violate these rules or our community guidelines, your authorization to use the “Service” will be automatically revoked.
9. Other Members’ Content
Although SnapTaxHK reserves the right to review and remove content that violates this “Agreement,” such content is the sole responsibility of the member who posts it, and SnapTaxHK cannot guarantee that all content will comply with this “Agreement.” If you see content on the service that violates this “Agreement,” please report it within the service or through our contact form.
10. Purchases
Generally, SnapTaxHK offers products and services for purchase through the App Store, Google Play Store, telecom billing, SnapTaxHK direct billing, or other authorized payment platforms (the “In-App Purchase Features”). If you choose to use the In-App Purchase Features, you will be prompted to confirm your purchase through the applicable payment service provider, and your payment method (whether using your credit card or third-party account, such as Google Play Store or App Store, hereinafter referred to as your “Payment Method”) will be charged at the system-displayed price for the service you select, including any applicable sales tax or similar taxes, and you authorize SnapTaxHK or the third-party account (as applicable) to charge you.
Automatic Renewal; Credit Card Automatic Payment
If you purchase a subscription plan with automatic recurring charges through the In-App Purchase Features, your Payment Method will continue to be charged until you cancel the subscription. After your initial subscription period ends, your membership will automatically renew indefinitely at the price you agreed to when subscribing, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will store your credit card payment information and use it for subsequent automatic credit card payment procedures according to this Agreement.
If you dispute any charges directly billed by SnapTaxHK or through a relevant third-party account such as the App Store, please contact customer service. You can also contact your bank or payment provider for further information on your rights and applicable time limits. You can revoke your consent to automatic credit card payments at any time by going to SnapTaxHK or the relevant third-party account’s “Settings,” but please note that you are still responsible for any unpaid amounts.
If you do not want the system to automatically renew your subscription, or if you want to change or terminate your subscription, you must log in to your third-party account (or SnapTaxHK account “Settings” page) and follow the instructions to terminate or cancel your subscription, even if you have deleted your account or removed the SnapTaxHK App from your device. Deleting your SnapTaxHK account or removing the SnapTaxHK App from your device does not terminate or cancel your subscription; SnapTaxHK will retain all charges to your Payment Method until you terminate or cancel your subscription on SnapTaxHK or the third-party account (as applicable). After termination or cancellation, you can still use the subscription service until the end of the current subscription period, and your subscription service will not renew after the current subscription period ends. If you reside in Germany, you can terminate your subscription within one month after the subscription renewal, and your right to terminate the subscription for cause will not be affected.
If you choose to pay SnapTaxHK directly through your “Payment Method,” other terms may apply. If you pay SnapTaxHK directly, SnapTaxHK may correct any billing errors or other mistakes, even if SnapTaxHK has already requested or received payment. If you initiate a chargeback process or otherwise request a refund for payments made through your “Payment Method,” SnapTaxHK may immediately terminate your account at its discretion.
You can visit SnapTaxHK and go to “Settings” to modify your “Payment Method.” If payment fails due to an expired credit card, insufficient funds, or other reasons, and you do not update your “Payment Method” information, terminate, or cancel your subscription, you are responsible for any unpaid amounts, and you authorize us to continue using the “Payment Method” until the information is updated. This may result in a change to your billing date. Additionally, you authorize us to obtain updated or replacement expiration dates and card numbers from your credit card or cash card issuer. Payment terms are subject to your “Payment Method” and may be determined by the agreement between you and your financial institution, credit card issuer, or other “Payment Method” provider you choose.
Virtual Goods
You may purchase or obtain a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use “Virtual Goods” from time to time, which may include virtual products, virtual “coins,” or other units that can be exchanged for virtual products within the “Service” (collectively, “Virtual Goods”). Any “Virtual Goods” balance appearing in your account does not constitute a real-world balance or reflect any stored value but constitutes a measure of your license scope. “Virtual Goods” will not incur charges for unused situations; however, when SnapTaxHK ceases to provide the “Service” or your account is closed or terminated, the license granted to you in “Virtual Goods” will terminate according to the terms of this “Agreement.” SnapTaxHK reserves the right to charge for access to and use of “Virtual Goods” and may distribute “Virtual Goods” through charging or non-charging methods. SnapTaxHK may manage, regulate, control, modify, or eliminate “Virtual Goods” at any time at its discretion. SnapTaxHK is not liable to you or any third party for exercising these rights. “Virtual Goods” can only be exchanged within the “Service.” All “Virtual Goods” purchased and exchanged through the “Service” are non-cancellable and non-refundable. The provision of “Virtual Goods” available for use in the “Service” is an immediately activated service from the date of your purchase of such “Virtual Goods.” You acknowledge that SnapTaxHK is not required to provide refunds for “Virtual Goods” for any reason, and you will not receive refunds or other compensation for unused “Virtual Goods” when your account is closed, whether voluntarily or involuntarily.
Refunds
Generally, payments made at the time of purchase are non-refundable, and no refunds will be given for unused periods or points. If you request a refund within 14 days of the transaction or if the laws of your place of residence provide for a refund, we may accommodate the refund accordingly.
To request a refund:
-
If you purchased using your Apple ID, refunds are handled by Apple, not SnapTaxHK. To request a refund, go to the App Store, click on your Apple ID, select “Purchase History,” find the transaction record, and click “Report a Problem.” You can also submit a request at Apple Support.
-
If you purchased using a Google Play Store account or directly through SnapTax
-
If you purchased using a Google Play Store account or directly through SnapTaxHK: Please contact customer service and provide the Google Play Store order number (you can find the order number in the order confirmation email or in your Google Wallet account).
If you exercise your right to cancel (except for purchases made through your Apple ID, which are controlled by Apple), we will refund (or request Google to refund) all amounts charged to you within 14 days from the day we receive your decision to cancel the agreement, without undue delay. We will use the same payment method you used for the initial transaction for the refund. In any case, the refund process will not charge you any fees.
If you made a purchase through a payment platform not listed above, please request a refund directly through the third-party merchant you made the purchase from.
If you explicitly agree and confirm, once the order processing begins, you will not be able to cancel orders for digital content not delivered on a physical medium, and you will lose the right to cancel. This applies to purchases such as “Virtual Goods.” This means such purchases are non-cancellable and non-refundable.
Pricing
SnapTaxHK operates globally, and our prices are influenced by various factors. We often offer promotional prices, which vary by region, subscription length, package size, and other factors. We also regularly test new features and payment options.
11. Notice and Procedure for Making Claims of Copyright Infringement
If you believe your work has been copied and posted on the “Service” in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please email us to make a request.
If you are contacting us regarding copyright infringement, please be sure to provide the following information:
-
An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
-
A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
-
A description of where the material you claim is infringing is located on the “Service” (and such description must be reasonably sufficient to enable us to locate the material);
-
Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address, as well as the full name of the copyright owner;
-
A written statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
-
A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
SnapTaxHK will terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
12. Disclaimers
SnapTaxHK provides the service on an “as is” and “as available” basis and to the extent permitted by applicable law, grants no warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise with respect to the service (including all content contained therein), including, without limitation, any implied warranties of satisfactory quality, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. SnapTaxHK does not represent or warrant that (A) the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, (B) any defects or errors in the service will be corrected, or © any content or information you obtain on or through the service will be accurate. SnapTaxHK takes no responsibility for any content that you or another member or third party posts, sends, or receives through the service. Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the service is accessed at your own discretion and risk.
13. Third-Party Services
The service may contain advertisements and promotions offered by third parties and links to other websites or resources. SnapTaxHK is not responsible for the availability (or lack of availability) of such external websites or resources. If you choose to interact with the third parties made available through our service, such party’s terms will govern their relationship with you. SnapTaxHK is not responsible or liable for such third parties’ terms or actions.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SnapTaxHK, its affiliates, employees, licensors, or service providers will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, punitive, or enhanced damages, including, without limitation, loss of profits, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (I) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service, (II) the conduct or content of other members or third parties on, through, or following use of the service; or (III) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content, even if SnapTaxHK has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event will SnapTaxHK’s aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the service exceed the amount paid, if any, by you to SnapTaxHK for the service while you have an account. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some or all of the exclusions and limitations in this section may not apply to you.
15. Arbitration, Class Action Waiver, and Jury Waiver
The exclusion clause means that any disputes or claims arising out of or relating to this “Agreement” (including any alleged breach thereof) or the “Service,” whether you choose arbitration or small claims court, you agree that under no circumstances will you initiate, continue, or participate in any class action, class arbitration, or other representative action or proceeding against SnapTaxHK.
Regardless of how you use the “Service,” you agree to the above arbitration agreement. By doing so, you waive your right to go to court to assert or defend any claims between you and the company (except for matters that may be taken to small claims court). You also waive your right to participate in class actions or other class proceedings. If you bring a claim against SnapTaxHK outside of small claims court (and SnapTaxHK does not request to transfer the matter to small claims court), your rights will be determined by a neutral arbitrator (not a judge or jury), and the arbitrator will decide all claims and issues related to the arbitrability of the dispute. You are entitled to a fair hearing before the arbitrator. The arbitrator can generally award any relief that a court can provide, including hearing motions to dismiss (which may include motions to dismiss based on the parties’ pleadings and motions to dismiss based on the parties’ pleadings and evidence), but you should note that arbitration procedures are usually simpler and more streamlined than trials and other judicial proceedings. The arbitrator’s decision is enforceable in court, and the grounds for overturning the arbitrator’s decision are very limited. For more information on arbitration procedures, please refer to our arbitration procedures.
18. Your Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SnapTaxHK, its affiliates, and their and our respective officers, directors, agents, and employees from and against any and all complaints, demands, claims, damages, losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses, including attorney’s fees, due to, arising out of, or relating in any way to your access to or use of the service, your content, or your breach of this Agreement.
19. Entire Agreement; Other
This Agreement, including the Privacy Policy, Safety Tips, Community Guidelines, and arbitration procedures (if applicable) and any terms disclosed and agreed to by you if you purchase additional features, products, or services we offer on the service, contains the entire agreement between you and SnapTaxHK regarding the use of the service. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect. The failure of SnapTaxHK to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. You agree that your SnapTaxHK account is non-transferable and all of your rights to your account and its content terminate upon your death. This Agreement does not create any agency, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, or other special relationship or employment, and you may not make any representations on behalf of or bind SnapTaxHK in any manner.
